Characteristics used to determine if a Pokémon card is considered LP. Surface Wear: The card may have minor surface wear, such as small scratches or light scuffing, but it should not have major creases, dents, or bends. Edges and Corners: The edges and corners of an LP card may show slight whitening or minor wear, but they should not be heavily frayed or damaged. Centering: The card's centering should be reasonably good, though slight off-centering is acceptable for an LP card. Gloss and Shine: The card should retain much of its original gloss and shine, although it might have dulled slightly due to light play. Stains and Marks: There should be no major stains, ink marks, or discoloration. Minor marks that are not immediately noticeable are permissible.Front and Back Condition: Both the front and back of the card should be in relatively good shape, with the back showing only minor signs of wear. Holofoil: For holographic cards, the holofoil area may have some minor scratches or scuffs, but there should be no significant damage or peeling.
An LP card should still be visually appealing despite these minor imperfections. Collectors often consider LP cards as a good option if they want to have a nice-looking card without paying the premium for a Near Mint (NM) condition card.
